Did you know Meta is in Ohio?

Meta’s New Albany Data Center began serving traffic in 2020 and represents more than a $1 billion investment in the state of Ohio. The energy-efficient data center will be a nearly 2.5 million square foot campus when completed and will support more than 150 jobs inside the data center as well as hundreds of construction jobs for years to come. Tech Day’s Student Panel

Our first panel conversation of Ohio Tech Day brought together five students from diverse backgrounds and passions for tech. Three were high school students and two in college. Together, they discussed their passion and interest in tech and the types of career opportunities that interest them. From nonprofit founders to Robotics Team Captains, these students are sure to be amazing innovators.

 
 
 
 

Meet Ohioans making tech happen.

Tonjia Coverdale is an Associate Vice President for Finance Technology at Nationwide. She's built a career that spans academia and Fortune 500 companies all across the United States. Tonjia shares the importance of building strong tech literacy at every age in life.

Gina Dunham is a Facilities Support Manager at Meta's 1,000,000 square foot data center located in New Albany, Ohio. Gina shares how Ohio helps make Meta's work possible and why it's cool to be a nerd.

Lynn Sautter Beal the Director of Implementation & Customer Success at Upstart. She joined a tech startup after building her career in financial services. Lynn shares the importance of intellectual curiosity, the skills needed to excel at a startup and, what took her by surprise when she joined one.

 

Paul do Forno is the Managing Director for Commerce & Content Practice at Deloitte Digital. He shares on the evolution of commerce, the opportunities new technology create, and how

Naveed Iqbal, Ph.D. is the Founder and CEO of Dolr where they are working to lower the financial barriers to education. Naveed talks about building a startup, why "failure" is a good thing when building something new, and why he's a really, really big fan of math.
